Kaş Transfer

Kaş is the most distinctive town on the Lycian coast. It is known for its narrow hillside streets, bougainvillea-covered stone houses and an ancient theatre in the middle of town where the sea is visible from the stage. Beneath the modern town lies ancient Antiphellos; Lycian rock tombs appear between apartment blocks and at street corners — here history is not inside a museum but part of daily life. The sea deepens sharply just offshore, which has made Kaş one of Turkey's leading diving centres.

The surroundings are as rich as the town itself. To the east lies the sunken ancient settlement of Kekova; to the west, the turquoise Kaputaş Beach and the long sands of Patara. A ferry from the harbour makes a day trip to the Greek island of Meis possible. Some of the most popular stages of the Lycian Way also pass through, so Kaş is a place people come to for nature and history rather than a pure beach holiday.

The journey from the airport is long and most of it runs along the winding mountain road of the Lycian coast. Two things decide the quality of that drive: vehicle comfort and the driver's familiarity with the road. Hotels in central Kaş sit on narrow, sloping streets, and some boutique properties lie at the end of passages too narrow for a vehicle.
