Konyaaltı is the largest beach within Antalya's city limits and the source of that postcard view: the sheer wall of the Beydağları mountains behind, seven kilometres of pebble shore in front. The pebble bed keeps the water clear — with no sand to cloud it, the sea reads noticeably brighter than on the Lara side. Konyaaltı Beach Park along the shore stays busy all day with its promenade, cycle lane and cafés, becoming the city's meeting point in the late afternoon.

The district is more than a beach. At the western end stand the Antalya Aquarium and, just above it, the Tünektepe cable car; from the summit the whole bay, the city and the mountain range fit into a single frame. At the eastern end are the Antalya Museum, the stone streets of Kaleiçi and the yacht harbour. Konyaaltı is therefore the choice for those who want sea and city in one holiday — most hotels are woven among apartment blocks and avenues, part of the urban fabric.

The route from the airport passes through the city, and that is the critical part. Congestion can build in the morning and evening on the links between the ring road and the centre; our drivers pick the fastest route according to live conditions rather than sticking to one fixed path. Hotels being embedded in the city also makes addresses harder — navigation often stops on the avenue, while we take you to the hotel entrance.

Those who prefer an all-inclusive resort on the shore instead of a city stay may consider the Lara side, while Beldibi suits guests wanting mountain and forest scenery. From Konyaaltı towards Kemer is about half an hour along the coastal road. For the return we factor traffic into the departure time and collect you from your hotel door.
