Sorgun Transfer

Sorgun is where the broad pine forest east of Side comes down to the shore. That forest defines the area: red pines stand between the beach and the hotels and throughout the resort grounds, giving shade in the summer heat and a distinct scent of resin. The beach is long and fine-grained, and because the sea deepens slowly from the shore it suits families with children.

The properties here are largely all-inclusive holiday villages built on extensive grounds. Sorgun has no town centre of its own; for shopping or an evening stroll people go a few kilometres west to central Side or into Manavgat. The Manavgat Waterfall, river boat trips and the ancient city of Side are the main excursions from the area.

Sorgun is reached from the airport along the D400 highway — straight, wide and comfortable. The part needing attention comes at arrival: hotel entrances are reached by private roads that leave the highway and run a kilometre or two into the forest. Signage on these roads is sparse and there is no lighting at night; navigation apps may show the turn-off but will not take you to the gate.

Our drivers know these forest roads and which turn-off leads to which property, setting you down at reception. You will not find yourself walking a forest track with luggage. Neighbouring Titreyen Göl lies a few kilometres west and the two are often confused; writing the hotel name in your booking is enough and we identify the right spot.
