Tekirova is a quiet resort south of Kemer, set where the pine forest meets the sea. What sets it apart is that the hotels stand away from any urban fabric, built on large grounds and woodland plots; most have their own private beach. The sea is clear and deep from the shore onward, which also makes the area popular for diving and boat trips.

Immediately north of Tekirova lies the ancient city of Phaselis. Founded around three natural harbours, this Lycian port city is among Turkey's most striking ancient sites: the paved main avenue runs down through pine forest straight to the sea, bath and agora ruins stretch along the water, and it is possible to swim in one of the harbours. The way the ruins are woven into the forest sets this apart from an ordinary archaeological site.

Tekirova is reached from the airport along the coastal highway, and past Kemer the road runs entirely through forest. The distance is longer than Antalya's short routes, so vehicle comfort becomes decisive; our Mercedes fleet makes this an easy drive. As the road winds through bends and tunnels, the driver's familiarity with it affects both the duration and the quality of the journey.

Resorts in Tekirova sit at the end of long private roads branching off the coastal highway, and some hotel entrances are more than a kilometre inland from the main road. Navigation apps often show the turn-off but do not take you to the door. Our drivers know the entrances and set you down at reception.
