Titreyen Göl lies east of Side on a coastal strip where the pine forest reaches all the way to the sea. It takes its name from the small lake just behind the shore and the tremor felt underfoot on the marshy ground around it. Because the hotels are set inside the forest, the area has a quiet of its own; a screen of pine trees usually stands between the resorts and the beach.

The district consists largely of all-inclusive holiday villages, with almost no settlement outside the properties. Titreyen Göl is therefore chosen for rest rather than shopping or nightlife; those wanting activity head a few kilometres west to central Side. The Manavgat Waterfall, boat trips on the Manavgat River and the ancient city of Side are the main excursions from here.

Titreyen Göl is reached from the airport along the D400 highway, a straight and comfortable road. The difficulty appears on arrival: hotel entrances are reached by private roads branching off the highway and running through the forest, with limited signage along them. Navigation apps usually show the turn-off but do not take you to the gate, and at night it is easy to take a wrong track in the woods.
