Güvercinlik lies between the airport and the Bodrum peninsula in a sheltered bay where pine forest runs down to the sea. It is far quieter than the peninsula's lively resorts; a few hotels, a marina and summer housing line the bay, and there is no nightlife. Because the sea stays calm and the wind drops here, the bay is especially favoured for mooring yachts.
The area is best known for its marina; Güvercinlik is one of the mooring points used as a quiet alternative by boats coming to the Bodrum peninsula. By road, Bodrum centre is about half an hour away, while the northern coves such as Torba and Göltürkbükü are closer still. The surrounding pine forest is good for walking.
The journey from the airport is short and easy; the road is largely straight and reaches the bay without entering the peninsula's winding inner roads. That brevity is an advantage for night arrivals. With flight tracking the vehicle waits for delayed landings, so guests arriving late set off without waiting.
Accommodation in Güvercinlik is spread along the bay; some hotels and villas sit at the end of long private roads off the main road, with limited signage. For guests heading to the marina the drop-off point is different. Our drivers know this distinction; simply state the property name, or that you are going to the marina, in your booking.
Our Güvercinlik transfer price is fixed — no surcharge for night arrivals, season or traffic; the price is set at booking and printed on your voucher. Being close to the airport, it is among our most affordable areas. For guests boarding a boat we plan the pickup around both your flight and your marina time.
