Sarıgerme is the resort area closest to Dalaman Airport; you can be in your hotel within fifteen minutes of landing. Its beach is a strip of fine sand about six kilometres long with pine forest behind it. The beach is protected as a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles, which is why construction along the shore is limited and the hotels sit back from the sand.

Sarıgerme is a quiet area where large all-inclusive resorts are concentrated; the town centre is small and consists mainly of shops serving the hotels. A golf course lies immediately east. Excursions are close by: the Dalyan river tour and İztuzu Beach are about half an hour away, with Göcek marina a similar distance.

The airport journey is short and runs entirely across flat plain — no mountain road, bends or tunnels on this route, making it the region's easiest transfer. The short distance is an advantage for night arrivals too: guests landing late are at their hotel quickly. With flight tracking the vehicle waits if your flight is delayed.

Hotel entrances in Sarıgerme sit at the end of long private roads off the main road, and because the resorts are close together the signs can be confusing.
